AI for Creative Inspiration
AI for Creative Inspiration
My time at Adobe is divided into two chapters.
Chapter 1
2012 ... 2017
During the first ~5 years, I was Director of Product Management for Creative Cloud Services. My team of Product Managers and I were responsible for bringing value to creative workflows that specifically leveraged Adobe's cloud. This ranged from maintaining core storage & asset management tools (like the CC Assets website, CC Desktop File Sync & Sharing, and CC Bridge Desktop Application), to inventing entirely new cloud-based features to integrate in all Creative Cloud desktop applications.
The vision was to leverage a shared interface and design language to build more seamless workflows, and to bring continuity and connectedness to the full CC product offering.
We developed in close partnership with Design and Engineering new features like CC Libraries, a modernized CMD-N (File New) interface, integrated file sharing and access to Adobe Stock assets, a new "Start" screen experience, and more.
Chapter 2
2018 ... 2020
During my last ~3 years, I was Director of Product Management for Adobe Sensei Assistants. The small "startup" team worked closely together on an innovative incubation project that used the Adobe Sensei platform. Our mission was to develop a "Creative Assistant" that we could integrate into Photoshop and all CC tools, in order to bring AI-backed innovation and workflows directly to their canvas.
Our Creative Assistant beta was a strong influence on the direction that Adobe has continued to point towards, with their more recent Generative AI capabilities. Already 4 years later, and we are only now seeing the seeds of the Creative Assistant blossom in Photoshop and other Creative Cloud apps... and it's just the beginning.
